3Tech Telecom Power and Energy Solutions

3Tech Corporate Limited is a Hong Kong–based manufacturer and supplier of power solutions. They have factories in Dongguan (China) and established presence in Nigeria. Their brand “LionRock” is used for telecom-energy products. They also have a remote monitoring/control system called “OwlEye”. They’ve been operating since 1998 (initially in HK), expanding over time into telecom power solutions, hybrid power, and energy cabinets, etc.

Strengths

  • They have global experience (several countries, many sites, telecom operators).
  • Their modular / hybrid approach can lead to cost savings in diesel fuel, maintenance, etc. If sites are remote, reducing diesel logistics and maintenance is big.
  • They provide a range of products, from smaller DC systems to large gensets, so possibly one-stop solution.
  • They offer after-sales service, spares, etc.

Possible risks

  • Quality & Certification: Are their products certified for your country’s standards (electrical safety, emissions, etc.)?
  • Local support & spares: How fast can spares be delivered to your location? What service partners exist locally?
  • Fuel, maintenance in remote sites: Even with good design, diesel costs and upkeep matter a lot. Does the hybrid system truly reduce these enough to justify higher capital cost?
  • Reliability and uptime guarantees: For telecom, uptime is critical. Need clear SLAs.
  • Total cost of ownership (TCO) vs initial cost: Sometimes cheaper initial price but higher lifecycle costs.
